It was a little chilly out but we were determined to visit the play ground in Onset. The slide was a big hit. Joseph spent lots of time with Memere and Pepere in Onset. The walks on the beach were the best.

RIDING THE WAVE

This week on the beach with Joseph, Danielle and Owen reminded me of how much I love the sea. The sounds, the sights, the smells and the feel of the sand and sun. It was what I needed right about now.
One of the books I read to Joseph on his sleep overs with Memere and Pepere was " Is there really a human race". He loves this book. It's a good view of how life is a race. I can relate to this. It just good to slow down the race and share the journey with those we love.
There will be another wave along soon to ride.

Life is good!
This was taken a week ago when the sun finally decided to show. Since then Joe has been reclining at the VA in West Roxbury. The doctors were perplexed that his heart passed all the tests. It's difficult to measure how big his heart is. No test can measure his love for giving to others. That's what he suffers from. His heart is unblemished by envy or greed. He is always there in times of desperate need. It pains him when he can't give as much as he wants. In tough times he suffers not for himself but for those he can't help. This is why I love my Joe. He makes me want to contribute in any way I can. No matter how small. With a smile or a hello or to hold the door open for someone. He has taugt me that it doesn't cost anything to be kind yet kindness does not mean weakness. In these difficult times we are all tested. I don't test well. Joe does. So I guess that's why we seem to always land on our feet. The yin and yang of it is what makes it interesting.

SUESUN

How blessed am I. Exactly one week ago coming to the Right coast to start a new adventure not knowing what to expect and already I'm in a comfortable, welcoming space. The sun hasn't made an appearance physically but Suesun has. She made sure the sunshine in our lives was present in our sweet abode. Familiar and precious photos, delicious foods and drink, keys and a sincere welcome home from Suesun. Life is good.

MISSING MY SUNSHINE

The last bit of sunshine I saw was Wednesday's sunset over Provincetown as the plane descended for Logan Airport. The sky has been weeping ever since. My sunshine is never hard to find though. It's in Nicole and Cooper's smile. It's in Danielle and Joseph's smile. This is the Sunshine of my life. I am blessed.

LAST DAY AT MACAMBRIDGE PARK

We spent this sunny beautiful morning in the park. This park became our back yard and go to place for the past two years.
Cooper's last time playing in the mirror entry way to his old home. A routine where he would always stop at this spot.
Cooper is Pepere's Buddy.
and Memere's Sunshine.

A SATURDAY AT GRIFFITH PARK

First stop at the park is the train ride.

Cooper and I enjoyed the ride. He kept his hands and head inside the car the whole ride because the conductor said too!

Pepere and Cooper enjoyed some popcorn while waiting for a second ride on the train.

Pepere had too much popcorn and couldn't fit in the train so Memere went again.

Next stop is the pony rides. Cooper loved his horse and gently patted his mane to say hello.

Next was the Merry-go- Round. It appears he was more comfortable on the real pony!

LIFE IS STILL GOOD!

CROCODILE ROCK

So Memere and Pepere watched Cooper last night while Mommy and Daddy had a grown up date. The Elton John Muppet Show inspired Cooper to drag his piano, seat and rockin' sunglasses in front of the television to jam with Elton. He also pick his costume out. Cooper is one heck of an entertainer! We are so lucky to have front row seats.

TAGUE TERRIFIC

Most of you I suspect know my very best pal Susan Tague and her lovable Brian and Mitchell. More times than I can count these beautiful, kind, thoughtful people have given me a gift that can never be bought. A priceless friendship is what it is. I am eternally grateful for all the love they have sent my way and the way of my children and grandchildren. What I know in my heart is that the Terrific Tagues are genuine. The kind that do what their hearts tell them to. I owe them so many thanks and someday I hope to repay in tenfold all the joy they have brought into my life.

TOUGH TIMES

I feel like I have to confess why my blog is so empty of any adventure or good news. It's been a long time since I've felt like posting. I'm over that now so even though I haven't got anything amazing to blog about I'm still gonna blog.
Joe and I are living with Nicole, Jakob and Cooper in their apartment in Burbank. They have gone out of their way to make us feel at home and part of their little family in California. We take care of Cooper on Monday and Tuesday and take him to day care the rest of the week. This keeps us on our toes and we are loving every minute of it.
Our job prospects are slim to none. In the two years since moving here this is the first time we have not had a call for an interview for any job. Times are tough for everyone.
We miss Danielle, Owen and Joseph deeply. I never dreamed we would all be so far apart for so long a time. Danielle is doing a great job keeping us up to date with Joseph on her blog and both Owen and Danielle call us often. I love that they do that. Joe has yet to hold and meet Joseph Fletcher. In April he will finally go to New Jersey for a visit. Hopefully I will have a job by then. I pray to the craigslist gods everyday before going on line for the right job.
We celebrated two birthdays in February. Jakob turned 32 and I turned 52. We celebrated quietly but Nicole and Jakob made sure we Celebrated.
I'm missing friends and family but have promised Joe I would try to smile more. He gave me a gift he couldn't buy anywhere. Since February 28 he hasn't had a stinking cigar! I'm so proud of him. It's still very difficult for him I know. When times are this stressful he wants to smoke so much. I love this guy! He smells nice now and we're saving money not buying tobacco. Horray!

TURTLE TIME

Wow what a turtle! Cooper and I went on an adventure to find a place called Blue Bird Canyon Park in Laguna Beach. We were both surprised to find it only a few minutes away and lots of fun. This turtle was the first thing Cooper ran to when we got to the park. He said he wanted to be the turtle's necklace so he sat on the neck.
